Supervision & Training

Rowan Newby is a BABCP accredited CBT therapist with a post-graduate diploma in CBT from the University of Derby.

As such, she is recognised by the BABCP as suitable to provide supervision for those working towards accreditation. She has supervised individuals with CBT qualifications as well as therapists and counsellors from other modalities who wish to learn or build on some basic CBT skills to complement their principal approach.

Rowan spends two days a week working as an Accreditation Liaison Officer for the BABCP, she therefore has expert knowledge of the accreditation process and its requirements and is well placed to help supervisees with their applications.

Rowan is also able to offer supervision to EMDR students who are not currently working towards accreditation. Having undergone Person Centred, Gestalt, TA and Psychodynamic therapies herself, she has a good understanding of how CBT and EMDR can be integrated with other forms of therapy, especially as she is now trained in Schema Therapy which is an integrative modality.

She can provide telephone and face to face supervision.

Rowan is a visiting lecturer on the CBT Post-Graduate Diploma course at The University of Salford and is able to provide training and workshops on CBT skills.
